620 Error while loading road directions

Hi,

I am trying to avoid the 620 errors when loading directions between
points on a map. I'm already using a callback function and have an
initial delay of 100ms, which I increase by 100ms each time a 620
error occurs. However, I still am not able to eliminate the errors
completely, is there anything wrong i'm doing?

To see the erratic behavior, click on 'Create a trail', then click on
'Follow road' and start clicking.
Also, is there any way I can stop the text directions from showing up
when zooming in or out?

Would appreciate any help!
