Maps API Terms of Service question (iPhone)

I am currently working on a free iPhone app that will include
directions to event locations. Currently the iPhone MapKit
implementation does not offer this feature. I would like to display
directions in a UITableView and also draw polylines on showing the
route from the user's location to their intended destination on the
iPhone's UIMapView. I am using the Google Maps Javascript API to
retrieve the information about directions and route polylines.

Since this information is not being rendered on a webpage (UIWebView),
would this be in violation of the terms of service (TOS)? I read the
TOS but its still not clear to me if this would be a violation. All
copyright information and any warnings would be displayed to the user
of course.
