Position controls with custom UI

Hi,
I'm using the defaultUI and extending it with the setUI command to add
controls to my map. This all works great and was really easy to
implement.

I now have a new requirement to change the position of the
maptypecontrol (just move them all x pixels to the left). I can see
how this achieved if I abandon the maps UI and revert to adding
controls manually and I can't see any positioning available in the
UIOptions.

Is there a way I can achieve this and keep the simplicity of the UI
approach?
