Re: ie8 and spacing....

Try to set up as little of this as possible in GWT/Java and do as much as possible in CSS.  Browsers have CSS quirks...GWT won't help with that.  This tool is very helpful for working out IE css issues: http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/
