cake 1.3 and logging suppressed warning

since 1.3 cakephp now logs even if debug is 0
which is great

but my debug.log is flooded with millions of notices that should not
even be logged
is there some bug that the @ (suppress) is overriden?

example:
2010-01-04 15:22:34 Notice: Notice (8): ob_flush() [<a
href='ref.outcontrol'>ref.outcontrol</a>]: failed to flush buffer. No
buffer to flush. in [.../app/views/media.php, line 235]

the code inside "media.php" (class MediaView extends View):
...
@ob_flush();
...

this notice lets my log file grow several MB every day

i like to keep the notices on - they are great in finding some errors
in the code which is already up and running
this is the reason i'd prefer not to deactive notices

thx
