GoogleBar automatic 'clear results' and marker

Hi, I'm new to the API and hope someone can help. Here's my map;

I want to disable the results window and marker that appears when you
click on search.

i.e if you type in place into the Google bar I want the map to go
there but not to show any results or the google marker...

It would be awesome if someone can help me!
