Why Work at Home? Eight Benefits to Leaving the Office

Need a reason to ditch the office and look into work at home jobs? How
about eight reasons? Then you've come to the right place:
1. More time with the family - when you work at home, you are always
just around the corner. Even if you are working, you can still spend a
few minutes playing with the kids on your coffee breaks. You can still
kiss your children good night and read them a bedtime story if you are
working late. With office jobs, many parents miss out on these small,
but precious memories.
2. No more office attire - kiss those uncomfortable pencil skirts,
ugly ties and polished black shoes goodbye and say hello to jeans, t-
shirts, slippers and pajamas, if you want. You can save a small
fortune on suits and office attire.
3. Less stress - work at home jobs allow you to pick and choose what,
when and where. What this means is many people enjoy a much less
stressful environment.
4. No morning and evening commute - with work at home jobs you don't
have to worry about battling the traffic for an hour each way. There
are no more stop signs, no more honking horns, no more traffic jams,
no more stop/go. Nothing. You can jump out of bed, walk ten paces, and
be at the office.
5. More freedom - flexible working hours are only one aspect of
freedom of working at home. You will also enjoy the freedom of being
your own boss, the freedom of having your own office and the freedom
of being in control every single day. If you want to take Monday off,
then do it. If you want to work nights, then go ahead. As long as you
can finish the work on time, the hours are up to you.
6. More variety - another great thing about work at home jobs is that
every day is different in many instances. Because most of the work is
contractual, you really never know what the day will bring. This can
be a huge benefit to anyone, especially those who live for change.
7. You are the boss- when you work at home you call the shots (for the
most part). Although you are hired by someone, in most instances, you
still control when you work and how you get the work done. If you want
to eat chocolate at your desk, go ahead. If you want to take a 30
minute break to call your best friend, then do it. No one is looking
over your shoulder telling you 'no.'
8. No more office gossip and politics - and finally, when you work at
home, you are putting a halt to all that office chatter. If you cannot
stand the gossip and the politics that goes on in the work force (and
there is always politics in the work force), then work at home allows
you to limit yourself from this trivial nonsense. You are above and
beyond that office hogwash.
