Alternative to using Script.aculo.us/GWT component for Effects (e.g. smoothly moving elements)

Hi,

in my previous projects (pure JavaScript), I used Script.aculo.us for
effects such as moving containers or sliding effects. Is there any
pure GWT version of a Script.aculo.us-like library? I know that there
is a wrapper component (http://gwt.components.googlepages.com/
script.aculo.usintegration), but such an approach is not clean in the
context of GWT.
