You have omitted to call your load() function, perhaps with an onload
attribute in the <body> tag.
Note that although your page as coded will work, it's very very bad
practice to put Javascript in a table like that. Far better to extract
all that Javascript and put the <script>...</script> block in the
<head> of the page. The reason for that is that using Javascript to
alter a table while that table is being built can cause IE to stop.
[Your block won't do that, because it uses a function, but it's a good
idea to use best practice from the get-go]
