I believe he is referring to displaying a label adjacent to the
placemark's location on the map. I have also just noticed that Google
maps is not doing that, when Google Earth does.
The label is enclosed in the tag pair <name>…</name>, and looking at
the document "KML Elements Supported in Google Maps" referenced above,
<name> is a "yes". Yet its contents doesn't show up in the current
Google Maps.
Is this a bug, bad documentation, or am I expecting too much of the
word "supported" ?
