How do I refer to the controller's model from appcontroller?

I have a function in appmodel
function describe()
{
return $this->query("describe $this->useTable;")
}

I want to call this function from every controller
In my appcontroller I want to have this function
function describe()
{
$describe = $this->[myModel]->describe();
$this->set('describe',$describe)
}

In my other controllers describe function I 'll call the appcontroller
describe.
How do I refer to the controller's model from appcontroller?
