[android-developers] Forcing an ImageView to the size of a TableLayout cell

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a way to force an ImageView to take on the
dimensions of the TableLayout cell it is being put in to?

Specifically, I have a layout that I put together that looks exactly
how I want it to look when the app is started. However, when I update
the ImageView in the table with an image, the table layout adjusts
itself to allow the image to display at full size. In this
particular case, I want the opposite behavior. I want the image to
shrink to fit the available space in the TableLayout cell.

I have tried all kinds of combinations in the settings for the
TableLayout, and the TableRow, but nothing seems to do what I am
looking for. I have also tried pulling the image in to a drawable,
and scaling it to the correct size, but I only seemed able to scale
the image up, and not down.

I suspect it is something simple that I am overlooking. Has anyone
done this? Or does anyone have any pointers?

Thanks!
