Encoded polyline doesn't show if endpoints are not encoded "P"

Hi,

I'm making my first experiments with encoded polylines and have
encountered the following problem:

If the polyline is encoded with start/end points always visible (level
P for standard map with 18 zoom levels and factor 2), it is displayed,
otherwise not.

Examples (you should see a red line in the center of the screen):
http://geotools.ipax.at/pub/en/test_ok.php
http://geotools.ipax.at/pub/en/test_notok.php

Checked on WinXP with Firefox 3.6.3 and Chrome 4.1.249.1064.

By encoding start and end points with a lower level I want to hide the
polyline when the underlying road is no longer visible.

Thanks for any help
