a is null; map running for years, but recently started giving error

Hi,

I'm (most of the time) getting an "a is null" error on line 530 using
Vista/FF 3.63 and also IE 7 (http://tinyurl.com/2dpqopl). I've had
the site up and running for 3 or 4 years now, but this has only
started happening recently. I haven't changed anything related to the
maps code recently, and in fact, haven't really changed much at all
since I first set it up (so I suppose some of this code could be a bit
outdated.)

Any ideas what might be causing this?
