Re: [android-developers] How to check if we are running on a Handset?

Is there a definitive way of knowing (something that no one can temper / simulate) if our application is running on a commercial handset or test handset / simulator?

Maybe Config.DEBUG?

Our requirement is that we need to confirm that we are running on a valid bonafide handware platform
before we start the application. If someone is trying to run our application on a test handset / simulator it should not run at all.

Why not? What difference does it make?
