KML is just a variety of XML following a set format.
KML includes lots of complex ideas which aren't at all necessary for
simple displays.

At its simplest, you can just hand-edit to have some <Placemark> and
<Description> etc.

I've no idea why you'd need to do that for Wordpress benefit, are you
using a plugin that doesn't allow you to tailor the API to suit your
own data?
