Get tile indices of a specific point on the map

Is it possible to retrieve the tile indices (x,y) of a point on the
map? So for example if i have a point (a marker or the center of the
map for example) lying within a tile then i would like to retrieve the
x- and y-index of this tile. Is this possible?
i search the API but couldn't find any information on that.
