You might need to think about what you are trying to do:
North & South Korea are areas of land, a single set of coordinates
to represent each might be in "the middle of the country". You can
certainly calculate the distance between those coordinates, I guess
that might give you many hundred km.
But they are actually adjacent, the distance in real life could be
said to be zero. Which "distance between" you want could depend on
what you want it for?
