AJAX Common Loader + features

Hello

I have found that I am only able to use Google Maps V2 + Ajax common
loader, e.g.
http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxsearch/documentation/#AJAX_Loader

I have tried to add various features into this script but without
success.

Can somebody direct me to an example list of features/utilities which
can be used with the Ajax V2 common loader.
