extract Lat/Lon from JPEG/GIF image

Hi All,

I have some city maps in JPEG/GIF format and I need to find out the
boundary area in Lat/Lon format (e.g. a polygon). what is the easiest
way to do it using google map api. If it is not possible is there any
other way I can achieve it?
