New new

Hi there,

I'm new to the Google Maps API and just started doing research on what
I can do with it and how I can do this. I'm trying to work on a
project where I have to cut The Netherlands in to pieces at first in
to provinces and after that into municipalities and neighbourhoods. As
found out now I can draw poly's to do this. But I was wondering if
there a quick methods to do so, import vector files, databases or
whatever. Or do I have to do everything by hand.

I've seen nice examples of the map of US split up in pieces her it's
done with the flash API i think. But it's exactly what I want but then
for the Netherland. http://www.howsfvotes.com/

Hope someone can help me out with my introduction to the API
