Firefox doesn't know about "text" which is IE-specific; and GLatLng
takes numbers, not strings.

Try changing this
pts[i] = new GLatLng(lats[i].text,lons[i].text);
into
pts[i] = new
GLatLng(parseFloat(lats[i].textContent),parseFloat(lons[i].textContent));
