Directions on a static map

Hello,
I'm trying to show directions from point A to point B on a static map
(image). I've found this example:

However, I'm trying to build my map image string entirely from Java
(not from browser).
Is that possible at all?
I was thinking at first of using Rhino to run the javascript, but it
seems that I still need some html element for GMap2 constructor?
