how to reuse a RequestBuilder instance for more than one request?

Does anybody know how to reuse a RequestBuilder instance for more than
one request, with different URLs ?

See this post which mentions RequestBuilder should have setUrl()

Should I file an issue or it's a reasoning for leaving this out?
