[android-developers] Bluetooth breaks when more than 1 app uses BT SPP?

Hi,

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this:

Using HTC Desire + Froyo and the 2.1 API.

I have an app that uses BT SPP to talk to some custom hardware. It's
normally very reliable, I can start and stop the app many times and it
always works as expected.

Today, I was working on another app that also uses BT SPP to talk to a
completely different piece of hardware. I now find that if I run this
new app first (and it appears to run to completion without any errors)
then my original app no longer works as expected - it will connect to
the hardware but the data it writes to the socket never reaches the
other end - it's as if the data has either got wedged in the stack or
been sent to /dev/null. The two apps are not active at the same time
but running the new app first definitely screws the original app. The
only way to get the original app working correctly again is to reboot
the phone.

Has anyone else seen this?

Cheers,

Mark
