[Google Maps API v2] Unexpected results with geocode bounds

If I request geocode for 'Longview Dr, Portland, ME' I get back the
expected results. The lat/lng being 43.7208289 -70.2915434. If I
request 'longview dr' with bounds parameter for a box of a few miles
around this point, url:

http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?sensor=true&address=longview%20dr&bounds=43.793588%2C-70.436227%7C43.648742%2C-70.145825

I don't get the Portland Longview Dr in the results. Is this a bug
with the geocode api or something wrong in my understanding of how it
works?
