[Google Maps API v2] earthquake feeds

Hello, I am new to google maps api and i want to do the following:
1) I want earthquake feeds to show as pins on the map, with radiation
circles from the center.

2) I want to retrieve one textfield from a mysql database to show as
another pin. This textfield will show feedback from people that felt
the earthquake.

Can someone tell me where to start?
