[Google Maps API v2] car trip with multiple routes?

Hi,

let me start by saying that I know this isn't strictly an API
question. But it does deal with Mike W's car trip example, which I
guess we're all familiar with, and it is a question that comes up here
occasionally.

So if you're interested, I'd love some input. If not, apologies for
clogging up the board.

Basically, I want to run the car trip from an xml file that has
multiple lines, with buttons to choose which route to run. I've made a
small amount of headway in that the car no longer runs the length of
one line, then floats over to the start of the next and runs that,
working its way through the array to the end.

Now it just follows the last line in the array, regardless of which
button is clicked. I'm guessing that I need to put a loop in there
somewhere, but I've tried what look to me like the obvious places
without success.
