[Google Maps API v2] Clickable sidebar index

First, I need to apologize for my API ignorance. I have no skills. I
do, however, have a lovely map that the API forum members helped me
put together even with my lack of skills. That should speak highly of
the forum members. :)

Here's my map

I have decided to ditch the current sidebar and replace it with an
alphabetized clickable index of the markers, if possible. I can
create the list but I don't know how to make it clickable to the
marker?

I did try to read the tutorial...

... but I think it's over my head. :(

Can anyone baby-talk me through the code? Once I have a couple
working I should be able to take it from there.
