Re: Announcing Chrome Developer Plugin support for Mac and Linux

It seems like Chris Conroy's suggestion was pretty complicated.  To tell the truth, I still don't think I understand just exactly what he was saying ...  sorry!

Anyway, the earlier post by Andreas Horst (changing the *system*'s default browser to Chrome), accomplished what I was after.
