[Google Maps API v2] Trying to do small changes to a Map

Hello,

I created a custom map, following a sample from http://econym.org.uk/gmap/basic2.htm
(the one with the side bar).

My map can be visited at http://testing.ptarena.net/map-test/

Things i need to change/improve but dont know how to:

1. Pick a specific color for each marker (from the default ones or
specify a custom one in png format)

2. Enable "Terrain" and make it the default display mode

3. Lock the zoom, so its a fixed zoom, no ability to zoom in / out.

4. Remove all information (city names, etc) from the surrounding
countries (is this even possible?)
