Image upload and handling

Hello, i just started with CakePHP and I was looking for a good Image Component since Cake does not have one in its core.

Im trying to build to build a gallery app with the following requirements
    User image upload form
    Thumbnail generation  *it cant be on the fly it needs to be a image_thumb.file in the filesystem
    Be able to incorporate jQuery ajax uploads

I would apreciate any recomendations of actual components or how would I tackle this.
