Is there a way to know which user changed a particular model through the admin site?

I need to know who changed a particular model through the admin site so I can create a log entry. The post_save signal has no knowledge of the user that changed the model and overriding the model's save method won't tell me the user either. Is there a way to know which user changed a particular model through the admin site? Thanks
