loading a property file from the backend with RequestBuilder?

I am trying to load a property file from the backend file system.
I load the file with the RequestBuilder but then need to parse it to
create a Map<String, String>.

Any idea how to do that? or is there already gwt code out there doing
that (can't find it do).
