[android-developers] how to look up an entry in routing table?

I want to send a packet via multihop routing and in order to do so I
have to look up the entry in the routing table
to determine the next hop. my problem is that I don't know how to do
so from inside the code while searching all I get is how to get the
routing table from terminal using cat /proc/net.route. so what should
I do to know the next hop for specified entry?
