[android-developers] Open GL texture is shown on emulator but not on the mobile

I tried to run a OpenGL tutorial project

http://obviam.net/index.php/texture-mapping-opengl-android-displaying-images-using-opengl-and-squares/

on a Samsung Galaxy, but only a white rectangle is shown instead of
the texture. The texture is shown on the emulator, but not on the
Samsung Galaxy. What do I have to do to see the texture on the device?
