Maybe you have to install the latest Java developer package from Apple
("Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 4 Developer Package") -- I did this
and pointed my JDK 1.6 home to the (new) location:
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0_24-b07-334.jdk/Contents/Home.
Everything works as before.
