[android-developers] Purchasing a phone for development

Hi All,

I finally put together some change to be able to afford a device for
purely development purpose.
I would appreciate which phone/device you would recommend that gives
the best bang for the buck and can be used for "as long as possible"
without any issues for future firmware upgrades.

Also, i do not intend to use a carrier service on this phone. Is Ebay
the best place to shop?

Any tips greatly appreciated.
