Aw: IE (8 & 9) reload app when internal link clicked

Change it to GWT Hyperlinks and I think it should work in IE. 

I had a similar problem using GWT Anchors, see: http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=5280 . In my case I used GWT Anchors with ClickHandlers which result in <a href="javascript:;">link</a> code and IE unloads the page for such links once you click on them. Seems like its the same with your #blah links. GWT's Hyperlink class does an event.preventDefault(); in its onBrowserEvent method by default and prevents IE from unloading the page when clicking a hyperlink.
