[Google Maps API v2] How to show string or number as a lable on marker in V3

Hi all,
I am trying to show string or number as a lable on marker in V3 but i
didn't find any marker option or any API for this.
Another thing is that how can i write some text on map alongwith
marker?
Can anyone help me for both queries???
