[Google Maps API v2] Questions with the Terms of Use
I would like to use Google Maps API for emergency fire response. I
have coded a map that mashes up some important wildfire related
layers. It uses the address service, and can find a point by Lat/
Lon. I actually have a couple of questions related to the use of the
Googel Map API.
1. Can my code be deployed on a publically accessed Federal, or State
Govt. webpage, or do I need a commercial license for that type of
deployment? How do I go about getting this in writing if it is free
to use, or how do I go about getting the license?
2. In the terms of use it states that the service cannot be used to
download multiple lat/lon numbers. My code has a mousemove event that
returns the lat/lon of the mouse on the map, and puts the lat/lon in a
text field of the form. Is this allowed, or is it against the terms
of use. There are several examples out there that show how to do this
mousemove event.
Here's were it is in the terms:
10.6 use the Service in a manner that gives you or any other person
access to mass downloads or bulk feeds of any Content, including but
not limited to numerical latitude or longitude coordinates, imagery,
and visible map data;
Thanks
