[Google Maps API v2] Re: Contour Map Overlay
Hi,
Forgive me, but by my reading of the articles they talk about
downloading the NASA SRTM data (which is a set of elevations every 90
metres for most of the world) and using gdal_contour to turn that into
shapefiles or import into a PostGis database.
Then the articles talk about using Mapnik to actually display the
contours - you'll need to figure out how to do this with Google Maps
(or you could just use the Terrain view).
Cheers,
Edward
