By finishing the activity, thereby triggering the
onPause()/onStop()/onDestroy() triad. If the activity is paused,
finishing it will merely do onStop() and onDestroy().

Documentation has gaps.

If you can create a sample application that demonstrates that you're
correct, please post it.
