[android-developers] How to change Keyboard InputType programatically

Hi,

I am working on a Remote Desktop application and I want to control the
keyboard presence programmatically.
I achieved the display of soft keyboard by following block of code,

InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager)
getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE);
imm.showSoftInput(myView, 0);

Displaying the keyboard by above technique only gives me a standard
keyboard.
But I do not know how to change the displayed keyboard InpuType e.g.,
TYPE_CLASS_PHONE

JFYI, my view hierarchy contains only ImageView as a child to the
RelativeLayout.

Key pointer to how I can achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
