[android-developers] Performance gains using final Java construct

I was exploring performance recommendations on Android and read this
page: http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/design/performance.html

I note that it only partially covers use of the "final" Java construct
(specifically for constants), which is covered in generic Java
discussions on performance.

Can the standard or JIT compiler perform any additional performance
optimizations if:

- I declare a class or method as final?
- I declare parameters pass to a method as final
- I declare local variables in a method as final

thanks!
