Basic Authentication question

Hi there! I need to access some services that uses http BASIC
authentication.

I've found out that I could set the username/password on my
requestbuilder, and send the credentials on every request. But what I
was really looking for is a way to do it just once, just like it
happens on browsers, and then send the header for authorization like:

Authorization:Basic <some hash here>

Is this possible?
