[Google Maps API v2] Improvising Start & Finish Google Maps

What is the better way to handle the the first and last coordinate in
Google Maps, I mean retrieving the coordinates & making a polyline is
not so tedious but putting an improvise Start & Finish would be hard.
Any idea how to make it? Any help is appreciated.
