Which do you think is right?

Is "mangroves" right for the type of vegetation, or not? If there are
mangroves there, what reason is there to change it? (If it's not
mangroves, then one might wonder how Google got that in the first
place)

You can't force Google to do anything. You can ask; but the map data
comes from a number of sources, not just Mapmaker, and the tiles are
only updated periodically.
