[android-developers] onReceive method sometimes not called

I have an SMS sender application which reads messages from a db table
outbox and writes it to the sentbox afterwards. Everything is running
but I just noticed that in some cases, the broadcast receiver doesn't
receive the intent sent by the sendTextMessage() method. What could be
the possible cause and solution to this?
