[Google Maps API v2] Google map created using api not marking restaurants, stores etc as it does on maps.google.com

I am showing google maps on our site using google map api and recently
noticed that the maps are not marking shops or restaturants like
target, walmart, Mc Donald's, ... as it does on the regular
maps.google.com.
Is it a feature that we can add on google maps api?
